Thalir Academy is a community-driven skill development initiative focused on empowering rural youth and women in Tamil Nadu, bridging the gap between education and employment.

We equip learners with practical skills, digital literacy, and real-world exposure, enabling them to secure jobs, start small businesses, and achieve financial independence.

Rooted in the communities of Chengalpattu, our approach combines vocational training, confidence building, and mentorship to create job-ready, resilient individuals. Today, over 650+ youth and women have been empowered — transforming potential into sustainable livelihoods.

Our Purpose

Bridging the Gap Between
Education and Livelihood

Thalir Academy was established in 2024 to address the growing gap between education, skills, and livelihood opportunities in rural Tamil Nadu. Many young people and women face limited access to skill training, digital education, and employment pathways.

Thalir exists to change this by providing accessible, practical, and locally relevant training that leads to real income opportunities. The name "Thalir" means "to sprout" — reflecting our belief that every learner, when given the right support, can grow into a confident individual capable of building a secure and independent future.
